How to Set Up a Printer to Print From a Wireless Router
- 1). Close any open programs you may have on your computer before inserting your printer installation CD into the computer. It should run automatically, but if it doesn't just double-click the setup icon from the CD drive.
- 2). Choose "Install Network/Wireless Device" to get started installing the printer drivers on the computer so that you will be able to print through the wireless router.
- 3). Click "Next" on the screen once it has finished searching for a connected printer.
- 4). Connect the printer to the computer with the USB cable when prompted on the screen. It is just temporary so that the router will be able to recognize the printer in the future.
- 5). Follow the on-screen instructions to finish installing the printer to your computer.
- 6). Disconnect the USB cable from your computer when prompted, which is when the installation is complete. Once you get to this point your printer will be set up for printing from the wireless router.
