How to Reset the Password on an iTouch

    • 1). Connect your iPod Touch to your computer via the USB cable or dock. Launch iTunes if it does not automatically start.

    • 2). Select the name of your iPod Touch under "Devices," and click the "Summary" tab.

    • 3). Choose to restore your iPod and, when prompted, select the option to make a backup.

    • 4). Click "Restore" after the backup completes. When this process finishes, click "OK." Disconnect your iPod Touch.

    • 5). Select the "Settings" option on your device, and choose "General." Select "Passcode Lock" to turn on the option if it is off. Type in a four-digit numeric passcode on the on-screen keyboard, and re-enter the passcode when prompted.
