How to Turn Off Menu Effects in Vista
- 1). Click "Start," type "Advanced System Settings" -- without quotes -- and press "Enter."
- 2). Click "Advanced" and then the "Settings" button under "Performance."
- 3). Click the "Visual Effects" tab.
- 4). Uncheck the boxes next to "Fade or slide menus into view" and "Fade out menu items after clicking."
- 5). Click "Apply" to turn off the menu effects in Windows Vista.
