How to Remove a Windows 2003 Password

    • 1). Click the "Start" button, and then click "Administrative Tools."

    • 2). Double-click the "Computer Management" icon.

    • 3). Double-click "Local Users and Groups" on the left side of the window, and then click the "Users" folder. A list of computer users appears on the right side of the window.

    • 4). Right-click the name of the account that you would like to remove the password from. Select "Set Password" from the context menu. A new window appears.

    • 5). Type the current password for the user account that you want to change. To remove the password for that account, leave the "New Password" and "Confirm New Password" boxes empty. Alternatively, to change the password, type the same password in both boxes.

    • 6). Click the "OK" button, and then close all remaining open windows to return to the desktop.
