- 1). Click the "Start" menu and type "System Restore" into the "Start Search" box. Click "System Restore" in the "Programs" list. The "System Restore" window opens.
- 2). Click "Choose a different restore point" and click "Next."
- 3). Click on one of the restore points listed in the window and click "Next."
- 4). Click "Finish" in the "Confirm your restore point" window. Click "Yes" in the pop-up window that asks if you are sure you want to complete the system restore.
- 5). Wait while Windows logs you out of the computer and performs the system restore. The restoration process takes a different amount of time for every computer.
- 6). Click "Close" on the windows that says that system restoration is complete. Log in to your computer by typing in your user name and password.
