How to Change the Ink Cartridge in an Epson 900 Printer
- 1). Unwrap the new ink cartridge. Remove the yellow part of the tape seal from the top of the ink cartridge. Do not remove the blue portion of the tape, or the clear seal from the bottom of the cartridge.
- 2). Lower the printer's output paper tray. Open the printer cover.
- 3). Power on your Epson 900 printer. The black ink cartridge will automatically move to the center.
- 4). Replace the black ink cartridge. Lift up the black cartridge clamp with your fingers. Pull out the old black cartridge and slip the new cartridge into position. Make sure the cartridge label is facing up. Close the clamp back down over the new cartridge.
- 5). Replace the color ink cartridge. Press the "cleaning" button (which looks like four ink drops) to move the color cartridge to the center. Lift up the color cartridge clamp with your fingers. Pull out the old color cartridge and slip the new cartridge into position. Make sure the cartridge label is facing up. Close the clamp back down over the new cartridge.
- 6). Press the "cleaning" button again to charge the ink delivery system. Close the printer cover.
