How to Adjust the Clutch Pedal on a Honda Accord

    • 1). Open the hood to check the level of clutch fluid. There are two reservoirs (similar to your brake fluid reservoir, only smaller) on the passenger's side of the engine bay near the firewall. The clutch fluid is in the second of the two. Add more fluid if you notice that it is below the recommended level.

    • 2). Check to see if the reservoir is leaking. If so, you will likely have to replace it. Bleed the clutch system to expel any air bubbles. Have someone push down on the clutch pedal several times while doing this.

    • 3). Adjust the clutch pedal to Honda specifications, which can be found in your owner's manual. The pedal's adjuster can be found by the pedal point, where the pedal meets the master cylinder. Adjust your clutch by turning the adjusting nut clockwise using a wrench or pair of pliers. Test the pedal each time to determine whether you need to make any further adjustments.
