How to Move the Location of the Start Menu

- 1). Right-click on the taskbar to open the configuration menu. The menu is context sensitive, so you must right-click in an empty area of the taskbar.
- 2). Click "Lock the Taskbar" to remove the check mark next to it. This unlocks the taskbar and gives you the ability to alter its settings and location.
- 3). Click an empty area of the taskbar and hold down the left mouse button. Drag the toolbar around the edges of your computer monitor to place the Start menu and taskbar in a new location.
- 4). Release the left mouse button after dragging the taskbar to its new location. Right-click the taskbar and select "Lock the Taskbar." The taskbar and "Start" menu is locked in its new location.
