How to Detect the VGA Card
- 1). Click the "Start" button and then right-click on "My Computer." Select the "Properties" option from the context menu. This will display the System Properties dialog box.
- 2). Go to the Hardware tab and then click the button that says "Device Manager."
- 3). Click the "+" sign that is next to Display Adapters. This will display the brand and model of video card that is installed on your system.
- 1). Click the "Start" button and then select the "Run" option.
- 2). Type "dxdiag" into the text box and then click the "OK" button. This will open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.
- 3). Go to the Display tab and wait while the diagnostic tool gathers information. Look under the Device section on the left to find information about the video card. You will find the brand and model next to the Chip Type.
- 1). Right-click anywhere on the desktop and click "Properties" from the Context menu. This will open the Display Properties dialog box.
- 2). Go to the Settings tab and then click the "Advanced" button at the bottom of the window.
- 3). Go to the Adapter tab to find the brand and model of video card under the Adapter Type section.
