Adding Gadgets to the Vista Desktop Sidebar

• 1). Click on the "Add gadgets" button, which is displayed on the sidebar as a plus sign.
  
  
• 2). The gallery window will open. Scroll through the displayed gadgets until you find what you want to add.
  
  
• 3). Double-click on the gadget you want in order to add it to the sidebar.
  
  
• 4). You can find and retrieve more gadgets for the Vista sidebar through the online gallery. Click on the "Get more gadgets" link, and you will be taken directly to the Gadgets online gallery.
  
  
• 5). On the "Personalize Vista Sidebar" web page, click on "See all gadgets." Click the download button for each gadget you want to add to your vista sidebar. In the "File Download: dialog box, click on "Open," then "Install."
  
  
• 6). Close your browser window when you are finished adding gadgets. The new gadget(s) will appear on the sidebar. Close the gadget window.
  
  

Removing Items or Gadgets from the Vista Sidebar

• 1). Open the sidebar. You can remove items from the Vista sidebar with the same ease and speed with which you added them.
  
  
• 2). Click on the gadget you want to remove from the sidebar;.
  
  
• 3). Click on the (X), or the removal button, for that gadget, and it will disappear.
