How to Release Your DNS
- 1). Open your Windows Start Menu and type "cmd" in the search box.
- 2). Press "Enter" to open the Windows "Command Prompt" window.
- 3). Type "IPconfig /Release" in the window and press the "Enter" key. The "IPconfig" utility will now contact the DNS server and release your current IP address. Request a new IP address by typing "IPconfig /Renew" and pressing "Enter."
