How to Change a Company Name in Windows

- 1). Click on the "Start" button in the task bar at the bottom of the screen.
- 2). Click on the "Run" icon. A small window will appear containing a text box.
- 3). Type the command "regedit" in the text box.
- 4). Click on the cross next to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" on the left side of the window that appears. This will expand the menu.
- 5). Click on the cross next to "SOFTWARE."
- 6). Click on the cross next to "Microsoft."
- 7). Click on the cross next to "Windows NT."
- 8). Click on the words "Current Version" to populate the right side of the screen.
- 9). Double click on the "RegisteredOrganization" option on the right side of the screen. A new window will appear.

Type the new company name in the "Value:" text box. - 11
Click the "OK" button to close the window and save the new value. - 12
Close the "Registry Editor" window.
