- 1). Plug your iPhone 3G into your computer via USB cord. Launch iTunes on your computer.
- 2). Hold down the "Home" button, at the bottom of the front of your iPhone, and "Power" button, on the top of your iPhone, simultaneously until you see the Apple logo appear on the screen. Release the "Power" button while continuing to hold the "Home" button until you see a message indicating that your phone is in recovery mode. Your iPhone should appear in the "Devices" heading in your iTunes application window.
- 3). Select your iPhone from the "Devices" heading in iTunes and click the "Restore" option from the "Version" section of the main iTunes window. Choose the "Restore From Backup" option if you have backup files or the "Restore and Update" option if you do not. Once the restoration process has completed, your iPhone will no longer be bricked and can be used as normal.
