How to Remove Paint From Automotive Finishes
- 1). Apply a small amount of cutting cream to the paint you want to remove. The cutting cream will cut into the clear-coat, but will not damage it as long as you are conservative in its use. It will dull the clear-coat, so a regular polish and wax job is needed after this procedure.
- 2). Work the cutting cream into the painted area you want to remove using an orbital buffer. Start on the lowest speed setting and gradually increase speed to the highest setting.
- 3). Wipe the cutting cream off the body of the vehicle using a clean, lint-free towel.
