- 1). Tap the "Settings" icon on the iPhone display screen.
- 2). Tap the "Sounds" option on the "Settings" page.
- 3). Find the "Silent" section at the top of the screen.
- 4). Slide the tab beside "Vibrate" from the "Off" to the "On" position.
- 5). Scroll to the "Ringers and Alerts" section. Slide the tab beside "Vibrate" from the "Off" to the "On" position.
- 6). Exit the settings menu by pressing the "Home" button below the display screen.
- 7). Move the switch on the side of the iPhone to the silent position. The switch is on the top left-hand side of the phone when the display screen is facing you.
