How to Replace a Corrupt File in Windows XP

    • 1). Insert the XP CD into your system. Restart the computer.

    • 2). Press any key when prompted to boot from CD.

    • 3). Press "Enter" at the Welcome and "F8" at the license terms.

    • 4). Highlight the drive containing the corrupt XP files and press "R," reinstalling working files from the CD.
