- 1). Type "Firefox" (without the quotes) in the search box. The Firefox icon appears in the Start menu.
- 2). Right-click that icon, and then click "Send to Desktop." Windows creates another Firefox shortcut icon on your desktop.
- 3). Click the Windows Start button, and then click "All Programs." The Start menu will display a list of folders and programs.
- 4). Scroll through the list and locate the "Startup" folder. Right-click the folder and click "Explore" to open the folder in Windows Explorer. Minimize the Windows Explorer window so that it is about 60 percent smaller. You need to be able to see Windows Explorer and your desktop at the same time.
- 5). Locate the Firefox shortcut icon you placed on your desktop, and drag it into the "Startup" folder in Windows Explorer.
