- 1). Eject the floppy disk currently in the floppy drive if applicable by pressing the eject button on the exterior of the drive.
- 2). Slide the floppy disk into the floppy disk drive until you hear a click.
- 3). Allow the computer a moment to detect and read the disk.
- 1). Press the eject button on your CD or DVD drive.
- 2). Remove the current disc in the optical drive if applicable.
- 3). Place the CD or DVD boot disc shiny side down in the optical drive tray.
- 4). Press the "Close/Eject" button. Allow the computer a moment to detect and read the boot disc.
- 1). Locate an available USB port on your computer.
- 2). Insert the bootable USB flash drive into the USB port.
- 3). Allow the computer a moment to detect and to read the USB drive.
