- 1). Click on the Start button and select "All Programs." Click on "Microsoft Exchange Server" and select "Exchange System Manager." Contact your technology or IT department if you do not have this program installed on your computer. Also, you will need administrative rights to access this program.
- 2). Click to expand "Administrative Groups" located on the left pane. Click on "Mail Administrative Group."
- 3). Click to expand "Servers." Locate the server that has the mailbox and click on it.
- 4). Click to expand "Mailbox Store." Locate "Mailboxes." Right-click on it and select "Run Cleanup Agent." This will bring up all the deleted and purged mailboxes in your server.
- 5). Locate the purged mailbox you want to recover. Right-click on it and select "Reconnect."
- 6). Single-click to select the user name where you want the mailbox to connect to. Click on "OK" to recover the purged mailbox.
