- 1). Click "Start."
- 2). Click "Control Panel."
- 3). Click "AutoPlay." Check the box next to "Use AutoPlay." This will ensure that your operating system's AutoPlay functionality is still working, and that it hasn't been turned off or disabled accidentally.
- 4). Scroll down to the bottom of the "AutoPlay" window and click on the "Reset all defaults" button. This will reset your AutoPlay capabilities to the original factory settings. This will undo any changes that have been made in error that you have not been able to manually correct.
- 5). Click "Save." This will save the changes you just made to your computer's "AutoPlay" settings. Any problems you had will now be repaired and AutoPlay will function as it did when you first turned on your computer.
