How to Change the Windows XP Key
- 1). Download the "Windows Product Key Update Tool" from the Microsoft website. When prompted, click on "Run."
- 2). Look for the product key on the retail package or certificate of authenticity. Enter that code, and then click on "Next." This begins the update.
- 3). Enter the information about your computer system and programs when prompted. Click on "Finish" once the update is complete.
- 4). Restart your computer to save your changes and complete the product ID key change.
