How to Bypass a Hard Drive Password on ThinkPad

- 1). Log into the administrator account on the ThinkPad.
- 2). Open the "Start" menu by scrolling over the "Windows" icon in the lower right-hand corner of the screen and clicking on it.
- 3). Click on "Run."
- 4). Type "control userpasswords2" (without the quotation marks) into the "Run" field.
- 5). Click "OK." A program menu appears.
- 6). Uncheck "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."
- 7). Click "OK."
- 8). Open the "Start" menu again.
- 9). Click on "Log Off," which is located in the lower left-hand corner of the pop-up menu.

Enter the desired account by double-clicking on the name and icon of the labeled account. It will no longer have a password.
