How to Transfer iTunes to an iPod

    Change iPod settings

    • 1). Open iTunes.

    • 2). Plug your iPod into a USB connection on the computer. The device will then be listed under "Devices" on the left side of iTunes.

    • 3). Click the iPod under "Devices" to bring up tabs in iTunes. These tabs will open at the top of the center iTunes window.

    • 4). Choose the "Summary" tab. The disk options for the iPod that you plugged in (in Step 2) will appear near the bottom of iTunes.

    • 5). Click inside the "Manually manage music and videos" box. That setting on your iPod will be turned on.

    • 6). Click "Apply" in the bottom right corner of iTunes. Your iPod will now be able to sync with iTunes on your computer and other computers, as well.

    Put iTunes on iPod

    • 1). Click on either the "Movies" or "Music" option in the left iTunes column. Which you choose will depend on what type of media you are transferring to the iPod.

    • 2). Select the files you want to add to the iPod by clicking on those songs or videos.

    • 3). Drag the songs or videos to the iPod under "Devices" to transfer the iTunes files to the iPod.
