How do I Video a Church Service?
- 1). Register on a lifecasting website such as Ustream, BlogTv, LiveStream and Stickam. Lifecasting is a style of video streaming that allows users to stream live events. Go to the home page of the site and select the "Sign Up" option on the main page. Create a username, password, method of contact and complete the information on the form to have access to this service. This service is at no cost, so you do not have to use your credit card.
- 2). Insert your video camera into your laptop. Make sure that the device allows you to see the part of the building where the sermon and singing take place.
- 3). Logon to your account at the lifecasting site of your choice. Click on the button that allows you to broadcast your shows. For example, UStream will have an option that says "Your Shows." Place the title of the sermon in that box space. This helps you to find the service at a later date.
- 4). Click your mouse on the broadcast feature. Allow time for the permission box to show up on the screen. In UStream, you will have to permit Ustream to use the video device connected to your laptop.
- 5). Press the words "Start Now" or "Begin Stream" in you lifecasting site to start the video of your church service. Ask another church attendee to verify that the video works from another laptop. Verify that the person can both hear and see the video.
- 6). Move the video device when you need to during the service. For example, you can get a close-up shot of the minister during the message, or pan the audience to show the number of people that attend the service.
- 7). Close the console on your account and remove the video camera after the event concludes.
