How to Erase Songs From an iPod Hard Drive

    • 1). Download and install iTunes if you haven't already. If you have already downloaded the iTunes software, open it, and navigate to the main page.

    • 2). Open the source list, and click on the iPod option. Select this option before making any changes.

    • 3). Select the song or playlist you want to change or delete. If your songs are set up in playlists, select the proper playlist and find the song you wish to delete.

    • 4). Click on the song you wish you delete. Right click with your mouse or touchpad, and select "Delete." Or, use the "Delete" button on your keyboard.

    • 5). Connect your iPod to your computer using the cable provided with the unit. IPods are set up to automatically update every time you connect them to your computer, and your iPod will search iTunes for any changes. The iPod will delete the song itself.
