How to Take a Picture of Part of the Screen in Window
- 1). Click on the Start button at the bottom left of your screen.
- 2). In the Start Search window, type "snipping tool." When the application appears in your programs box, click on it to start it. A small program window will appear. Your screen may go faded and a cursor that looks like a "+" will appear.
- 3). Drag your cursor around the area you wish to keep as an image. A larger snipping tool box will appear with your image choice framed in red.
- 4). Select "Save." This icon will look like a disk, and when you click on it a new window will open with a "Save as" box. This box allows you to change the name from the default "capture" name to a name better suited to the image. Type in your new image name and save.
