How do I Install System Restore on a System That Is Using Windows XP?

- 1). Click the "Start" button in the lower-left corner of your desktop. Choose "My Computer." Click "Tools" in the main menu bar. Scroll down and click "Folder Options."
- 2). Hit the "View" tab and remove the check mark in the box next to "Hide extensions for known file types." Close the window.
- 3). Click the "Start" button in the lower-left corner of your desktop. Choose "Run" and type "%Windir%\INF" (without the quotes) in the field and click the "Enter" key on your keyboard.
- 4). Find the "SR.INF" file. Right click it and choose "Install."
- 5). Type "%Windir%\ServicePackFiles" (without the quotes) in the field if the system asks for an installation source path.
- 6). Restart your computer after the installation is complete.
