How to Change a Floppy Drive Letter in Windows XP
- 1). Open the Disk Management utility. Go to Start > Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > Administrative Tools > Computer Management. In the left navigation pane, click to select "Disk Management."
- 2). Right-click on the desired floppy drive, then select "Change Drive Letter and Paths."
- 3). Select "Assign the following drive letter" (if necessary), then click on the drive letter you wish to use.
- 4). Click "OK," then click "Yes" to confirm the drive letter change. The changes will take effect immediately.
