How to Hook Up a Mac Book Pro to a Projector

- 1). Plug the mini displayPort end of the video adapter into the mini displayPort of the MacBook Pro. Connect the other side of the adapter to one end of the video cable.
- 2). Insert the other end of the video cable into the matching video port of the projector.
- 3). Turn on the MacBook Pro. Plug in and turn on the projector.
- 4). Open the "Apple" menu on your MacBook Pro and select "System Preferences" if the computer doesn't recognize the projector. The System Preferences dialogue opens. Click on the "Displays" icon in the Hardware section. Click the "Detect Displays" button. This registers the projector with the computer.
