How to Play Movies in Windows Media Center

    • 1). Open the "Start" menu on the task bar of your computer. Hover your mouse cursor over the "All Programs" menu option at the bottom of the "Start" menu. A separate menu containing a list of all the programs installed on your computer will pop out of the side of the start menu. Find the program name and icon for "Windows Media Center."

    • 2). Click on "Windows Media Center" in your program list. This will open the Windows Media Center program. On the scrolling menu in the center of the page, click on the button named "My Videos." The screen will change to view all of the movies in the My Videos folder on your computer.

    • 3). Browse through the folders until you find the movie that you wish to play. Click on the thumbnail image of the movie. This will begin your movie playing at the size that your Windows Media Center window is at. To pause, stop, fast forward, and rewind your movie, use the appropriate buttons on the control bar at the bottom of the window. When your movie has finished playing, or in the middle of the movie, you can push the "Backspace" button on your keyboard to go back to the previous screen and view other movies.
