- 1). Go to Control Panel and select "Display Properties." Select the tab containing your graphics card.
- 2). Locate the overclocking slider bars for the X1650 in this tab. These two bars should be labeled "Core" and "Memory." Each bar will indicate the clockspeed for the card's GPU and memory.
- 3). Increase the memory and core clockspeeds by 1 Mhz to 5 Mhz increments.
- 4). Use a benchmark utility to stress test the video card after increasing the X1650's clockspeeds. Examples of a benchmark utility include Futuremark's 3DMark series or the stress test utilities built into most current PC games. Running these programs will test whether or not the video card can remain stable when overclocked. If the X1650's clockspeed is too high, the computer will crash and have to be restarted.
- 5). Continue increasing the X1650's clockspeed and stress testing until your card's overclocked performance is satisfactory.
