My iPhone Won't See Networks

    • 1). Locate and confirm that all the necessary cables connect to the router and modem. Check the power cords, Ethernet cables and power outlets.

    • 2). Reset the wireless router and DSL cable modem by pressing the "Reset" buttons on the back of each device. Try accessing the network again on the iPhone in several minutes. Continue to Step 3 if you are still experiencing problems.

    • 3). Access a private network that is password protected by selecting "Settings," "WiFi" and "Other." Follow the instruction for entering the information needed to access the private network, such as the password and network name. Networks that are labeled as private are not always displayed as an available network on an iPhone, which is why you will need to manually set up the network.

    • 4). Download any software updates from the router manufacturer's website if you are accessing a network from home.

    • 5). Turn off your iPhone and then turn it back on; this can reset your iPhone. Resetting an iPhone allows the phone to reboot and fix any problems that could have been interfering with the network you were trying to access.
