Enable Automatic Updates

• 1). Click the "Start" button and then go to the Control Panel.
  
  
• 2). Double-click the "Security Center" icon. This will open the Windows Security Center.
  
  
• 3). Scroll down and click the "Automatic Updates" option at the bottom of the window.
  
  
• 4). Select the "Automatic (recommended)" option. Choose when the system should check for updates by selecting the day and time from the drop-down selections.
  
  
• 5). Click the "Apply" button to save the change. Whenever there is a patch or update to WGA validation it will be automatically downloaded and applied to your system.
  
  
• 6). Click the "OK" button to close the window. Close the Windows Security Center.
  
  

Download WGA Notifications

• 1). Go to the Genuine Microsoft Software web page (see "Resources" section for link).
  
  
• 2). Click the "Download Now" button. This will take you to the Windows Genuine Notifications download page.
  
  
• 3). Click the "Download" button. Click the "Save File" button when the pop-up window appears on the screen. Save the file to a location such as your desktop.
  
  
• 4). Double-click the file on your desktop to install the Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications program on your system.
