How to Get XP to Boot From a CD

    • 1). Restart your computer and press the correct key to enter your system BIOS. This key is listed on the screen that displays the computer manufacturer's logo, and is generally the "F2" key.

    • 2). Highlight "Boot Sequence" or "Boot" using the arrow keys.

    • 3). Highlight CD-ROM Drive using the arrow keys.

    • 4). Move "CD-ROM" up the list until it is at the top of the list. This is generally done using the "+" key. However, the BIOS screen should provide instructions.

    • 5). Press "Escape" and click "Yes" to save changes. Restart your computer and it will boot from the CD that is in your CD-ROM drive.
