- 1). Insert the dock connector end of the USB connector cable into the bottom of the iPod. The dock connector end is wide and flat, and clicks into place when it is securely inserted into the iPod.
- 2). Insert the USB end of the iPod connector cable into an available USB 2.0 port on your Dell Dimension B110. ITunes launches when the computer detects the connected iPod.
- 3). Wait for the iPod to synchronize with iTunes. The device's synchronization with iTunes occurs when the iPod is set to automatic sync mode.
- 4). Leave the connector cable plugged into the computer and the iPod until the iPod's battery icon is completely filled. The length of time for a complete charge depends on the amount of battery life available prior to connecting the iPod.
- 5). Click "Eject" next to the iPod's name in iTunes once the device fully charges. Remove the cable from the bottom of the iPod and from the computer to safely disconnect.
