How Do I Turn Off My Computer Using the Keyboard in Vista?

- 1). Hold the "Windows" key and press "M" to minimize all active windows.
- 2). Hold the "Alt" key and press "F4" to open the Shut Down Windows dialog box.
- 3). Select "Shut Down" in the drop-down menu using the arrow keys in the "What do you want your computer to do?" drop-down menu.
- 4). Press "Enter" to shut down your computer. Press "Tab" to cycle between clickable items, such as the "Cancel" button, if you decide you do not want to shut down your computer.
- 1). Press the "Windows" key.
- 2). Press the "Right Arrow" key three times to highlight the arrow to the right of the "Lock" icon and open a context menu.
- 3). Select "Shut Down" using the arrow keys and press "Enter." The Computer will shut down.
