- 1). Plug the iPhone USB cable into the iPhone's dock connector port on the bottom of the phone. Plug the other end of the iPhone cable into your computer's USB port.
- 2). Launch iTunes, if the program does not automatically open when the iPhone is connected. Click on the iPhone's icon in the side menu of iTunes, and click on "Store" on the iTunes menu.
- 3). Click on "Authorize Computer" and sign in with your Apple ID and password. Click on "File" on the iTunes menu, and then "Transfer Purchases from iPhone."
- 4). Wait for the iPhone transfer and the backup to complete, then click on "Controls" on the iTunes menu. Click on "Eject" to remove the iPhone from the computer.
