How to Convert an iPod Hard Drive to a Compact Flash
- 1). Launch iTunes. Connect the iPod to a computer via the supplied USB cord.
- 2). Locate the "Devices" category on the left side of the open iTunes window on the computer screen. Click the iPod.
- 3). Click the "Summary" tab on the right side of the open iTunes window on the computer screen.
- 4). Click "Enable disc use" located toward the bottom of the open iTunes window on the computer screen, enabling the computer to read the iPod as an external drive. Disconnect the iPod from iTunes--close-out the iTunes window.
- 5). Click the "Start" button, and on the right side of the start menu, click "Computer" or "My Computer." Locate the iPod under the "Devices with removable storage" section of the window.
- 6). Double-click the iPod. Several default folders appear in the window. Right-click to create a new folder, or use one of the existing folders to drag and drop the file you want to move onto the iPod.
- 7). Disconnect the iPod via the iTunes interface once all files are transferred.
