How to Update the 'Registered to' Name in the Registry File for Windows ME
- 1). Click the "Start" button, then the "Run" link.
- 2). Type "regedit" in the box that appears.
- 3). Navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows NT/CurrentVersion" using the "+" signs to expand the different sections.
- 4). Double-click on the entry titled "RegisteredOwner."
- 5). Type the name of the new owner in the box that appears, then click "OK."
