How to Get a String of Text From a Document
- 1). Press the "Start" key.
- 2). Type "Run" in the "search programs and files" bar. When the "Run" command appears in the search, click on it.
- 3). Type "CMD" into the "Run" command and press "Enter." This will open an MS-DOS window.
- 4). Type "Find /n" and then type the string of text you are seeking after "/n."
- 5). Type in the specific hard drive letter you want DOS to search after the string of text you specified. Press "Enter" and DOS will search for the string of text you want to get and display the results.
