How to Automatically Sync Drives

    • 1). Click the "Start" button, then click the "Search" box. Type "diskmgmt.msc" and press "Enter."

    • 2). Locate the two hard drives listed toward the bottom of the Disk Management window.

    • 3). Right-click on one of the drives, then click "Convert to Dynamic Disk" in the menu that appears.

    • 4). Click the check box next to each disk displayed in the window that appears, then click the "OK" button.

    • 5). Click the "Convert" button to convert the hard drives to "dynamic disks." If only one of the two hard drives was listed in the "Convert to Dynamic Disk" window, repeat the procedure above for the second disk.

    • 6). Right-click on the hard drive partition in the list at the top of the Disk Management window that you wish to synchronize, then click "Add Mirror..." in the drop-down menu that appears.

    • 7). Click to select the disk that is listed in the Add Mirror window that appears, then click the "Add Mirror" button.

    • 8). Confirm that the select hard drive partition is now listed on both hard drives as a "mirrored" partition.

    • 9). Repeat the procedure above for all partitions on the drive to be synchronized.
