- 1). Inspect the iPhone's screen. If the word "Sprint" displays in its upper, left-hand corner, the device has been flashed to Sprint and is ready for use on the network.
- 2). Visit a local Sprint store to establish a new line of service if you don't already have one. Even if the iPhone is reprogrammed to be used on Sprint's network, calls, texts and data don't work until you establish a line of service with Sprint.
- 3). Call Verizon to cancel your iPhone service if you had the phone flashed to Sprint yourself. Flashing a Verizon iPhone makes the device incapable of working with Verizon service, but you nonetheless continue accruing charges until you formally cancel service. Note that cancellation fees apply if you haven't fulfilled the full term of your contract.
