How to Make Jelly Pellets for Fishing
- 1). Fill your pot or kettle with water and set to boil.
- 2). Pour a pint of boiling water into as many bowls or mugs as you are using. Use one container per flavor or packet of gelatin you desire to make the pellets with. You can also pour the boiling water into a pellet pump if you have one.
- 3). Add a packet of gelatin to each container you have and stir the mixture with your spoon until the mixture is well blended.
- 4). Add the pellets to your mixture. If you are using a pellet pump, pump out the air and shake the container. If you are using mugs or bowls, make sure the pellets are completely covered, with enough room left to expand.
- 5). Let the pellets absorb the mixture for at least a half hour, and gently shake the mixture periodically to keep the pellets separated.
- 6). Drain the gelatin from the container once it has cooled off and squeeze the excess gelatin from the pellets with your hands or a rolling pin.
- 7). Store your pellets in a plastic bag, such as a grocery or ziploc bag. Make sure to remove all excess air and tightly seal the bag.
- 8). Store the pellets in the freezer until you are ready to use them.
