- 1). Unlock your iPhone by pressing either the round button on the bottom of the screen or the silver button along the top edge of the phone case.
- 2). Slide your finger along the slider that appears at the bottom of the screen, and enter your passcode if you have one set.
- 3). Tap the "Contacts" icon, which looks like a small brown phone book.
- 4). Choose whatever contact you would like to add a custom ringtone to.
- 5). Tap "Edit" in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- 6). Scroll down to where it says "Ringtone", and tap the grey arrow on the right-hand side of the field.
- 7). Select your ringtone from the list of ringtones that you have on your phone. When you have made your selection, tap "Save". This will return you to the main screen for that contact. Tap "Done" to finish.
