Can You Get Vuze to Work on Windows Vista?
- Vuze’s installation program guides you through not only installing the program on your Vista system but also setting the program’s connection speed for downloading content via your computer’s Internet connection. Vuze’s "Options" component lets you specify the folder for storing downloads, if the application should launch when you turn on your computer and the amount of simultaneous downloads the application can handle.
- The program’s interface includes a search engine in the right pane for locating files as well as information from the Internet. Bing powers the search engine. Click the “Web Search” tab to view search results from the Internet. Click the “Meta Search” tab to view file results. Vuze’s left pane contains links for accessing your computer’s files, playing media files, burning DVD discs, accessing news feeds and accessing Vuze Plus and Vuze HD Network services for additional file searches and high-definition content.
- Vuze runs on Vista systems running 32- or 64-bit versions of the operating system. Your computer also needs an Internet connection for downloading content via the application. Vuze also includes an "Uninstall" tool that removes the application if you no longer want it on your computer.
- Vuze is available for downloading directly from the Vuze website as well as from online software outlets and websites that specialize in free applications. The application’s "Help" component guides you through any issues you may encounter while installing or using the search engine, media player or other component within the application.
