How to Run Windows Memory Diagnostic

    • 1). Open the Windows Start menu and click "Control Panel."

    • 2). Select "System and Maintenance" and "Administrative Tools." Click the "Memory Diagnostic Tool" within the "Administrative Tools" control panel.

    • 3). Enter the administrator password when prompted and confirm the action.

    • 4). Select "Restart your computer and run the tool immediately." Click "OK." Windows will power down and reboot. Before Windows loads up, the memory diagnostic tool will run, checking your computer's installed memory for errors. If the test finds no errors , the system will boot normally into Windows. If the test finds errors, it will list them; contact your computer's manufacturer next for how to proceed.
