How to Use Ortho Bug Killer on Flowers and Vegetables

    • 1). Read the packaging label to ensure that the product is safe for the vegetables and fruits you plan to spray. The package includes a complete list.

    • 2). Shake the bottle to distribute the ingredients evenly. Set the spray to fine mist. Remove the lid of a 1-gallon bottle and screw on the sprayer.

    • 3). Place the sprayer 8 to 12 inches from plant surfaces. Spray the tops and undersides of the plant leaves to moisten them.

    • 4). Re-apply the pesticide in seven days, if necessary, although Ortho Max is designed to continue working for three weeks. Apply no more than five applications to flowers in one season and no more than four applications to vegetables.
