Disapproving the RH Bill
The beginning of life starts from conception and ends with death. But why do some people think that taking the life of an unborn child is not as morally wrong as to taking the life of an adult? Is there any difference between the two of them with regard to human life? I believe that the RH Bill should not be implemented for the reason that every human being has an inherent right to live and no one should be irrationally deprived of this life.
There are a lot of disadvantages if the government will implement the RH Bill. One reason is that by approving the RH Bill, we as a nation, are practically encouraging our people to engage in immoral activities. Like for instance, since the usage of contraceptives is legal then more couples would prefer to use them since it will help in avoiding unplanned pregnancies and would also increase the physical intimacy between the two partners. Another reason why the RH Bill is wrong is because it assumes that contraceptives are good for mankind and would give them more benefitsand would also effectively reduce cases of abortion. For example, a couple who would want to engage in a physical intimacy would get the misconception that by using contraceptives they could already avoid getting sexually transmitted diseases and that they could also prevent unintended pregnancies, not knowing that it can damage their health. Most importantly, the implementation of the RH Bill in our country is a direct violation of the human rights of a person which is the human right to live. Like for instance, killing an unborn child is as immoral as to killing a terminally ill adult for the reason that human beings have the right not to be killed by another human being regardless of their physical condition in life.
In conclusion, I believe that the RH Bill should not be implemented for the reason that it gives the people the wrong conception that by using contraceptives and other artificial birth methods, it can already protect them from diseases and in having unwanted pregnancies when in fact it can harm their health. But most of all, the main reason why RH Bill should not be implemented in our country is because it violates the most essential human right of a person and that is the human right to live.
