Obama commits to $2 billion dollars for Egypt's new government

President Obama's approval rating will suffer a lot after followers find out that he promised the new government of Egypt to forget about the $1 Billion dollars debt and help them get a new loan from the American government for another billion dollars, even though America is broke right now.Z

According to president Obama The new loan will help the new "democratic government" of Egypt to start producing jobs in that country. Experts like Rep. Elena Ros-Lehtinen agree that Obama's move isn't a very smart move from him even though he's looking for a new ally in that continent.

Barack Obama's call for a new loan has left many members of the Congress really worried about this move from the American president. Many congress members agree that President Obama probably doesn't understand that Egypt's new government is still a transitional government based primarily on a military dictatorship, and they can't just forget about a billion dollars debt and promise another billion while the American people is struggling with a broke country. Most congressmen are ready to refuse the loan to the Egyptian government.

On his latest speech in that country Obama said: ""We do not want a democratic Egypt to be saddled by the debts of its past, so we will relieve a democratic Egypt of up to $1 billion in debt and work with our Egyptian partners to invest these resources to foster growth and entrepreneurship."

Rep. Elena Ros-Lehtinen, the actual chairwoman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee commented: "Considering our own national debt, we cannot afford to forgive up to $1 billion of Egypt's debt, I am deeply concerned that the president did not rule out providing aid to Egypt if the Muslim Brotherhood is part of the government."

The chairwoman continued: "The U.S. should only provide assistance to Egypt after we know that Egypt's new government will not include the Muslim Brotherhood and will be democratic, pro-American and committed to abiding by peace agreements with Israel.", concluded.

One of the most discussed comments about this came from the mouth of Gary Johnson, former governor of New Mexico who's running for the 2012 elections. He posted on his Twitter account "Pres. Obama: $2B in loan guarantees for Egypt'. Guaranteed with WHAT?? We're broke. Who will guarantee our guarantee??"
