How to Download Magazines on the iPad Nook App
- 1). Connect your iPad to a local wireless network; it will prompt you if any are available.
- 2). Start the Nook application on the iPad.
- 3). Tap the "Shop" icon on the Quick Nav Bar. A menu appears, showing the various categories of products you can purchase.
- 4). Tap the "Magazines & Periodicals" option on the menu.
- 5). Tap the title of the magazine you're interested in and then open the "details" page. Two buttons appear: One marked with "Buy Current Issue" and a price, the other denoted as "Subscribe." Tap the button that corresponds to what you want to purchase, and the button changes to "Confirm." If you tap the button that says "Subscribe," it changes to "Free Trial." Magazine subscriptions begin with a 14-day free trial that allows you to unsubscribe from them at no charge. After 14 days are up, the credit card you have registered with Barnes & Noble for that Nook will be charged the subscription fee.
- 6). Tap the "Library" icon at the top of the app. You will see your new magazine in the library window with the word "New" across the cover; the "New" tag will go away once you've read the item. For large downloads, a progress bar indicates the item's download status.
